Besides the variety of camouflage patterns used in the beginning of the conflict (shown in the first book of this series) of no less interest were the numerous types of vehicles used by the Croatian ZNG/HV forces. These are shown in more than 300 black and white as well as color photographs in the second book covering that period.

An exceptionally interesting part of World War II was the guerrilla warfare led in Croatia from 1941 to 1945. In an attempt to restrain and overpower the guerrillas, the German occupying forces used all available reserves of their war-booty weapons to equip their national armed units. On the other hand the Italian occupiers also used everything that was available for the same purpose. In the fierce battles that ensued, armored vehicles were frequently utilized and also often changed possessors. Various armed formations appear and disappear, and this book is an attempt to show through picture and text the armored units of the opposing sides equipped with German and Italian technology, as well as with vehicles amassed from the armies conquered by the Germans at the very beginning of World War II.

The book is a history of Croatia’s Fighter Aircraft Legion that spent the major part of its wartime activities on the Eastern front as a part of the German Aviation. There are descriptions of war assignments, air victories, types of planes and stories about the pilots who were members of these units. The book is illustrated with a large number of thus far unpublished photographs and numerous illustrations.

The book represents types of planes that were used in the Naval Aviation of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia from the period of its foundation in 1918 and until its demolition in 1941. There is a brief history of each type of hydro-airplane and how it was used in the military aviation. The book is illustrated with a large number of thus far unpublished photographs and numerous illustrations.
